29/10/2012 TKS Presents: ‘FEAST’ tracklist

It struck me on the walk back home from the studio last night, while musing over the marvellous Lil Johnson track; not only that some artists almost a century ago were far more risque than any modern booty-shaking R+B (remember when that was rhythm and blues, not rhythm ‘n’ boobs?) singer, but also that included in the dozen tracks played were ones from every decade from the 1920’s to the 2010’s, with the exception of the 30’s and 40’s. Naturally, this afforded great scope for diversity in the feast of sounds somehow connected to food and drink; hopefully, the following provided an enjoyable sonic experience:

And that lengthy, atmospheric schnapps from Gunter Schickert’s second album brought our brief feast of sounds to an end. We didn’t do the mashed potato, or sample burnt weeny sandwich, but hopefully there was enough to satisfy the appetites of those sonic adventurers looking for a diverse menu!
Til next time, wishing you all some suitably spicy sounds to keep winter’s chill at bay. S.
