6/1/2014 ‘Fame’ tracklist

The Kitchen Sink’s first live foray of 2014 saw a return to an old theme. Fame was first covered toward the end of 2012, but due to technical problems the show was lost to posterity, it’s recording producing one long flat line. This time around much of the same tracks were aired, those included first time but missing out this being Julius Caesar by NicoJack Kerouac by Sao Paolo outfit Gang 90Amelia from Joni Mitchell‘s classic Hejira album, and the original introductory piece, We Love You by The Psychedelic Furs.
Instead of the Furs number, to commemorate the passing of a great leader and statesman, the sonic trip began with…

That atmospheric piece from Chelmsfordian Tom Jenkinson brought the week’s sonic journey to an end. Thankfully, concerns regarding the recording of the show proved unfounded, so this time the 60 minutes in the company of the famous is stored in the Radio R archive ready for a future airing or two! Thanks this time are due to Peter Lenearts for introducing me to the music of A Minor Forest a few years ago, and to Mirko Spino for the Germanotta Youth.
Until next time, wishing anyone perusing this many a joyful sonic experience in 2014, S.
