4/5/2015 TKS Presents: ‘Un/Covered’ tracklist

It was Pills which was responsible, guv. Played as part of the TKS medical focus, Bo Diddley‘s track from the early 60’s (1961 according to The Story of Bo Diddley collection) was covered a decade later by Big Apple rascals the New York Dolls, and this prompted thoughts of another programme devoted to cover versions, plus a couple of tunes which had inspired well-known covers. That epic take on the track from Blue Oyster Cult‘s 1974 album ‘Secret Treaties’ brought the almost sixty-minute sonic voyage through covers and covered tracks to an end. What next on TKS? Perhaps we’ll head to London for a mix of sounds in a couple of weeks…
