10/10/2016 TKS Presents: ‘KOMUNITA/COMMUNITY’ tracklist

In a time of divisive rhetoric from populist politicians and the gutter press, a sonic celebration of people and communities working together seemed a good idea. The idea for this programme sprang from the reissue earlier this year of the work of Swedish band Trad Gras och Stenar, whose drummer Thomas Mera Gartz, wrote: ‘We imagined…a unified kingdom, where we weren’t divided by prejudice, preconceived science, technology or financial swords. No closed doors, no borders.’

To the music, which started in Japan with TKS favourites

That recording of the Swedish group, performing in Stockholm in May 1972, seemed an appropriate way to bring another sonic journey to an end.
Wishing anyone reading this many an aural delight! S.
