14/11/2016 TKS Presents: ‘Some Sense Of Place’ tracklist

The first attempt at broadcasting this sonic voyage saw technical problems, resulting in half the tracks not playing and my being transported along the road toward apoplexy before having to truncate matters. Thankfully, a week later the gremlins at the studio took the evening off and all went relatively smoothly, with the only transportation being that provided by the following tracks…

10)Bing & Ruth – The Towns We Love Is Our Town /from ‘Tomorrow Was The Golden Age’/ RVNG Intl. 2014
More info: http://bingandruth.com/
11)Brian Eno – Lantern Marsh /from ‘Ambient 4/On Land’/ EG Records 1982
More info: http://www.brian-eno.net/

That piece, based on Eno‘s imagination of the place (only a few miles from where he grew up in Suffolk) after seeing the name on a map, seemed a suitable way to head out….
Thanks this time are due to Kevin L. Guthrie for the Altres, to Filip Johanek of Skupina, and to Matthew Coombes, curator of the Cafe Concrete Project in Plymouth.
Wishing anyone reading this many a sonic delight, S.
